We will offer the Transitions to UMass D program in the fall of 2016. The information that follows was for the 2015 program but we expect it will be somewhat the same.
We welcome you to the Catholic Community at UMass Dartmouth. All are welcome here, regardless of personal history, background, race, age, orientation, etc. You are invited, welcomed, accepted, loved and respected here at Catholic Campus Ministry!
UMass Dartmouth Catholic Campus Ministry offers support to our students during your transition to UMass Dartmouth and upon your transition to work/life during your senior year hear at UMass Dartmouth.
Our first year transition program begins with EMBARK. On August 4-5, 2015, UMass Catholic Campus Minstry will offer an overnight program at Sacred Hearts Retreat Center in Wareham, MA. This gathering provides an opportunity for incoming freshman to meet the campus ministry team, and to meet other students who will be attending UMass Dartmouth in the fall. You'll have an opportunity to explore the transitions that define our past, present, and future. Take time away to reflect with others and on your own, listen to the experiences of a young adult team as you prepare to transition from high school and home life to living on your own.
There is no cost to participate in embark>>2015, but space is limited. Register today.
If you are interested, a number of you will be invited to attend NOVUS which takes place at UMass Dartmouth several days before your fall orientation. Resident students will even get to move in to your dorm room several days before the regular move-in day!!!
Finally, you’ll be invited to participate in our five week mentoring program, Freshman 5. Our peer ministry leadership team will meet weekly with you and other freshman to mentor and support you during the initial five weeks of your first semester on campus. They know the ins and outs at UMass Dartmouth. Wouldn’t it be great to know upperclassmen who care about your success here at UMass Dartmouth?
All of this is designed to get you off to a good start. During your four years here, Catholic Campus Ministry will continue to support you with opportunities to grow in faith. Check out the rest of the website for some of the possibilities open to you on campus.
So let us know if you are interested and we’ll get back to you about how you can get involved with our High School to College Transition program!
Please take a moment to review the links to the top left for details of our transition programs.
Welcome to UMass Dartmouth - We’re glad you are here!
